Will the Future See Leaderless Societies?

The "Leader" or "Leadership" Paradigm Will Become Obsolete in Future

Egypt's "leaderless" revolution has shown in clear terms that people do not need leaders for their achievements.

"The need for a leader" hoax has been drilled into the minds of people by the interested and selfish parties over the ages. As a result of this brainwash, it created a mindset of dependency of people on their so called leaders. This age old paradigm created dictators, bosses, superiors, leaders, hierarchies etc. It injected a sense of helplessness among the people and it tarnished their understanding and assessment of their own potentials.

The future will see emergence of new paradigms: the "people" paradigm in general or social life and the "professional" paradigm in the work life. All we need for maintenance and growth of societies and organizations is to accept this new concept that every human being is a "person" and a "professional". No human being is either boss or subordinate, leader or follower, dictator and oppressed, superior or subordinate, higher hierarchy or lower hierarchy, highbrow and lowbrow etc.

All are equal persons and equal professionals. And they have a right to live their lives as such.

People will live in peace with each other in their social lives and the professionals will run all those domains that need to be run effectively and efficiently so that people can live in peace.

Top Notch Jobs for (So Called) World Leaders and People

World at the Brink of..........

The world is at the brink of I don't know what. But it is definitely at the brink. It needs to cross that threshold.

The inaugural event (January 20, 2009) of the new office bearers (president, vice president and their team etc) of the government of USA enveloped in it some clues to address this question of crossing the threshold.

In my earlier write-up, I had emphasized that the CEOs of all the nations must address the following:
  • Welfare of all the people of the nation in all the important aspects affecting them without being partial to any one
  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Infrastructure
  • Science, technology and innovations
  • Industry and agriculture
  • Discipline, law and order
  • Corruption free society and governance
  • International relations - Security and safety
  • Environment
  • World peace

America's newly appointed government's sentiments as made public on it's inaugural day largely match up with these above-mentioned domains of work. Now it is important that people all over the world also make it their agenda and concentrate their energies in achieving the best results in them.

If all the nations engage themselves in these directions, they will get busy with something that is more productive than engaging themselves in various kinds of disturbances causing retardation of human progress, prosperity and happiness.

Today America Has Changed, Now The Rest Of The World Should Change

Change: Yes, It Should Take Place All Over The world
(Please refer my earlier write-ups on this page)

I wrote earlier saying that the world needed America to set a tone for "boundaryless world order"- world sans racial, color, religious, gender and language boundaries and discrimination.

The election of the Democratic nominee for president ship of USA was definitely a move towards this much needed initiative. One hurdle over, we looked forward to the next step. I had wished-
Let the humanity and merit win over the petty racial, color and religious inclinations.

American politics and American thinking, in a way, influences the world politics and many other domains . Therefore, the current American presidential election was important in today's world that has become highly interdependent, socially and economically. It was also equally important because of the unique profiles of the candidates for presidency would put American peoples' democratic thinking and maturity at test.

I had expressed that if the winner candidate was chosen purely on his merits irrespective of race, color, gender and religion, the world would get a clear message and guidance from USA on which direction to move. It would be a great step forward to create a "boundaryless world order". It would be a significant move towards uniting the world irrespective of race, color, gender, religion and language- a great step towards world peace and prosperity.

The American elections are over today and American people's maturity in electing the president has shown that the change is always possible if people decide to make it possible. America has obviously changed, the rest of the world should change too.

Open Letter to the Heads of the States of the World

I wrote in my earlier blog that a head of any state of the world has to be a genuine and principled person. Otherwise, that nation will meet the disastrous consequences soon enough.

Any head of a state has to address the following areas:
  • Welfare of all the people of the nation in all the important aspects affecting them without being partial to any one.
  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Infrastructure
  • Science, technology and innovations
  • Industry and agriculture
  • Discipline, law and order
  • Corruption free society and governance
  • International relations - Security and safety
  • Environment
  • World peace

Democratic nations can achieve all these provided they elect the right kind of person as their head of the state and then, install all the other people in governance who meet the standards of genuineness and principles/values.

Genuineness of Head of State: A must

The world will be a better place to live without fears of hatred, wars, terrors and discrimination & exploitations of various sorts, if people who have the power to vote, exercise this to elect a right candidate as the head of their state. They must vote for a "genuine" and "principled" person. They should not vote a fake person with pretensions, lies, facade and exploiting tendencies.

People, in every democratic country, should exercise their right to vote only on the basis of genuineness and values of the candidate for presidency/prime ministership of their nations.

If they choose to elect their head of the state just because he/she matches with their color, race, religion or gender and not on the merits and qualities, they surely are inching towards big problems for themselves and their families.

Boundarylessness: World Has Moved a Step Forward

World will move a step ahead if President is "boundaryless"

American politics and American thinking, in a way, influences the world politics and many other domains . Therefore, the current American presidential election is important in today's world that has become highly interdependent, socially and economically. It is also equally important because of the unique profiles of the candidates for presidency which put American peoples' democratic thinking and maturity at test.

Boundaryless World: Zero Wars, Zero Hatred

I dream of a world where people in general and people in armed forces of all the nations on this planet Earth do not get killed because of wars and hatred nurtured by few, so called, political and religious leaders. Large numbers of innocent military and civilian people are motivated to be killed in wars and skirmishes (the political and religious leaders do not get killed and do their own children join the armed forces of their nations?).

To my mind, everything can be negotiated in a humane manner. Mutual communication and working towards win-win consensus pave the way to the world level problems. We see the business people, all over the world, sorting out the differences and conflicts among themselves; they do not kill each other. Some of those problems are very complex and huge and yet, they find solutions without wars and hatred and killings. Politicians and religious (so called) leaders should learn a lesson or two. Or they should be made to learn their lessons.

There is a need to create a "boundaryless" "one" world on planet Earth.
