It needs to cross that threshold.<br /></span><br />The inaugural event (January 20, 2009) of the new office bearers (president, vice president and their team etc) of the government of USA enveloped in it some clues to address this question of crossing the threshold.<br /><br />In my earlier write-up, I had emphasized that the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">CEOs</span> of all the nations must address the following:<br /><ul><li>Welfare of all the people of the nation in all the important aspects affecting them without being partial to any one</li><li>Education </li><li>Health Care</li><li>Infrastructure </li><li>Science, technology and innovations</li><li>Industry and agriculture </li><li>Discipline, law and order</li><li>Corruption free society and governance </li><li>International relations - Security and safety </li><li>Environment</li><li>World peace</li></ul><p>America's newly appointed government's sentiments as made public on it's inaugural day largely match up with these above-mentioned domains of work. One hurdle over, we looked forward to the next step. I had wished-<br />Let the humanity and merit win over the petty racial, color and religious inclinations.<br /><br />American politics and American thinking, in a way, influences the world politics and many other domains . Therefore, the current American presidential election was important in today's world that has become highly interdependent, socially and economically. It was also equally important because of the unique profiles of the candidates for presidency would put American peoples' democratic thinking and maturity at test.<br /><br />I had expressed that if the winner candidate <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">was</span> chosen purely on his merits irrespective of race, color, gender and religion, the world would get a clear message and guidance from USA on which direction to move. Large numbers of innocent military and civilian people are motivated to be killed in wars and skirmishes (the political and religious leaders do not get killed and do their own children join the armed forces of their nations?).<br /><br />To my mind, everything can be negotiated in a humane manner. Mutual communication and working towards win-win consensus pave the way to the world level problems. We see the business people, all over the world, sorting out the differences and conflicts among themselves; they do not kill each other. Some of those problems are very complex and huge and yet, they find solutions <em>without wars and hatred and killings</em>. Politicians and religious (so called) leaders should learn a lesson or two.
